D&G Staff Attend 11th Annual WERC Awards Luncheon
D&G attorneys and staff attended the 11th annual WERC Awards Luncheon on October 6, 2015. This event was hosted by the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC), a not-for-profit organization that works to advance women's success in the workplace by building their economic and personal independence.
Attendants Joann Sternheimer, Leigh A. Hoffman, Pilar A. Cano, Tamra Wright and Nicole Smith, attended the luncheon to help honor community leaders who have made important contributions to the personal and professional growth of women throughout the region. Among the honorees, former Director of Operations, Lois Smith-Law, was honored with the first ever WERC Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honored her as a woman who lived her life with passion and truly embraced WERC's mission to help others through her entire career.
